Wedgwood AV publishes
Teaching Technology magazine

Wedgwood AV Ltd launched a new free quarterly magazine in 2011, titled Teaching Technology which provides information on new technology for teachers, trainers and the public sector.

"Teachers, for example, would be so busy marking work they wouldn't perhaps know that new ICT technology exists that does all the marking and reporting for them instantly, leaving them to do what they do best - teach", reveals editor Linda Adams, an ex-teacher.

The idea for Teaching Technology came about because many of Wedgwood's education customers wanted to use new ICT and audio visual technology but didn't always understand how it would best help them teach in their daily lives in the classroom.

Wedgwood's audio visual sales consultants are kept up-to-date on new ICT AV technology, such as 3D projectors, digital signage or interactive projectors where you don't even need a whiteboard. As they have regular product training sessions from leading brand manufacturers, we thought it would be good to share this knowledge with our customers. And so the idea for Teaching Technology - how technology helps me teach, was born.

Linda Adams, one of the founders who started Wedgwood AV Ltd 15 years ago, after redundancy when the school she worked at closed down, began this exciting project by getting together with the manufacturers' whose audio visual products Wedgwood supply, within the education sector.

Teachers are encouraged to contribute feedback and articles on how new technology helps them teach, as we want this magazine to be a useful resource for teachers.

Teaching Technology for education - how technology helps me teach, is published by Wedgwood AV Ltd., part of the Wedgwood IT Group of companies that currently include Wedgwood AV Ltd., Independent Products Ltd. and Repeat Software Ltd.
